The local government of San Juan unrolled the purportedly “world’s longest buri mat” on Saturday, December 28, 2007. Though no definite measurement could be had from municipal employees, the mat was reported to be at least 4.2 kilometers long – extending from the Magsingal-San Juan boundary until Tarudtod.
