Your observation is true. In fact, some tenants/vendors feel sorry for themselves because of poor sales. I believe the LGU had high hopes of rejuvenating the public market when they made a new one to replace the old. I can't help but think, maybe there are negatives vibes (like bad karma maybe) working so that our public market can't seem to prosper. Re: basketball court - some young boys who regularly play basketball at the plaza were complaining because when the basketball court in the new public market was constructed, the LGU took the goals/baskets (sorry I'm not a basketball enthusiast so I don't know how these are called) and transferred them to the new court. Just wondering ... didn't the project plan for the new basketball court include a budget for these goals? Now, many boys around the plaza are deprived of a play area. Good thing they can still play in the basketball court at the Msgr. Cosme Fang Youth Center.

Having visited the new market a few times while vacationing recently, it's a lonely market. There is not a lot of vendors and prices are higher. This is because space rental is barely affordable and Lapoguenios would rather prefer to sell and buy their goods in Cabugao or Magsingal. I've seen fish vendors going house to house. They would rather tackle the hot weather than sitting in the new market with no buyers and yet they pay for their space. A few comments about the new market: (1) the exit ramp by the highway is too steep that I bumped my head on one of the metals of the tricycle; (2) the entrance and exit area by the highway seems dangerous expecially for pedestrians since it's right in front of shell (vehicles are in and out of Shell and the market), needs something to slow down buses at that area; (3) new market needs better sewage; (4) is the basketball court really necessary there?

The ambulant vendors found a need and gave it. They are trying to earn an HONEST living, and SERVING the community WELL. We need them as much as they need us.
